Research Coordination Objectives
- Analyze the current state of tourism-impact research, identify evidence gaps, and explore opportunities for research, practice, and policy.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary knowledge exchange and establish a unified research agenda.
- Bridge knowledge, practice, and communication gaps across European regions and countries.
- Coordinate research on frameworks, methods, instruments, classifications, and recommendations for tourism impacts.
- Work with stakeholders to translate findings into programs and policies.
- Improve access to and dissemination of relevant research findings.
- Coordinate future research efforts on tourism impacts.
Capacity Building Objectives
- Establish an interdisciplinary network of experts across European regions and beyond.
- Support dialogue among researchers, stakeholders, and the public through workshops and forums.
- Expand international research collaboration and partnerships.
- Develop digital platforms for sharing findings and updates.
- Support training and mentorship for the next generation of researchers and sustainable-tourism professionals.
- Develop policy briefs and recommendations.
- Identify additional resources and funding for continued activity.
